SOE Shutting Down Four Games
Sad news for anyone still playing Cosmic Rift, Infantry, Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga and EverQuest Online Adventures. Sony Online Entertainment has announced these four games will be no more. Reasons why state it was time for developers of those games to move on to the “next adventure.” For those who’ve stuck with EverQuest Online Adventures, you will get a 3-month gold membership to both EverQuest and EverQuest II. Whether that is a reward or not, SOE is thankful to all the players who’ve supported these games over the years.
Zynga Moving Beyond Facebook
Don’t really know the reason behind this. All Zynga is doing is moving their catalogue of games onto another site, their own. You’ll be able to play online without having to log into Facebook…I take that back. Logging into Zynga’s site involves logging into Facebook. Again, I see no point. Facebook players, tell me if you will bother going to Zynga.com to play Words with Friends or just go straight to Facebook. Other developers are said to be added soon, so I suppose there’s that. Social Stream is another feature that will allow players to play in real time with others and find new players. Again, Facebook players, tell me what I’m missing out on.

UK Retailer GAME Won’t Stock Mass Effect 3
Here in the states we have GameStop. Overseas I suppose you guys have GAME. GAME has had trouble keeping a float financially and this new announcement is not helping. The company posted a notice on its website stating the games retailer will not be stocking EA’s March releases. Among those releases, the highly anticipated Mass Effect 3. GAME apologizes to gamers for the inconvenience.
